Stumbled upon a stunning illustration from the invite of Sydney's 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art's fundraiser by Eskimo Designs. Seductress' hair like the midnight sky, telephone cord entwined,  sheesha smokes billowing and opium pipes, a peer into the glorious art deco debauchery in the Orient. 
Smells a little bit like Christmas at the fragrant harbour!

I said yes, and for the growing boy and the height obsessed (does that even exist?) , you can even measure yourself when God decides to stretch you out by a centimeter or two. At Joyce's 40th Anniversary Party: Ruinart x Yueminjun

I was tunneling around the Museum of Medical Science for Joyce's 40th anniversary last night, blowing air kisses, gawking at archive items from Romeo Gigli, Thierry Mugler and various 80's fashion powerhouse, when I noticed the most peculiar bottles. Attendees were not serving the usual Moet, they were pouring flutes after flutes out of these decorated flasks and I had to, had to (!) stop to examine . And boy was I surprised. These were anything but commercial, I'm drinking limited edition Ruinart x Yueminjun champagne! Gasp! That's how you treat the VIPs nowadays, out of  exclusive container with  bright pink faces grinning at you. Eyespy was tipsy, and very impressed.

I've been salivating over the Proenza Schouler PS1 bag since its debut in 2008 and have been talked out of purchasing my very own keepsake, (Thanks - Another Angle) and boy am I glad! The Spring Summer '11 collection has matured into a handsome display of casual sophistication with careful details worth paying a little more for that vanity arm candy. My top choices are (Pic 1) the 2 stud Electric Blue Snakeskin buckled box bag and (Pic 9) the Celine-esque white framed camel tote. What are yours? 

 

 

 

Impulsive Consumption of the Week - Karen Walker Sunnies

The other afternoon, I was wading through Mido's spectacles mecca (HK's best bet for all frames weird and whimsical) and found 2 pairs of the best sun worship fantastic pieces. And little did I know that this one stuck, that golden Egyptian sun goddesses ads re-emerged from my memory, and here they are! All screaming "Buy Me!"  Karen Walker, thanks for giving me a style boost for my upcoming South African trip.  
And just in case, oh curious ones, I bought angular retro (Pic 1 right) and unibrow one bar (Pic 2, also right).  Planning on a cheeky switch around, once tired, for tortoise angular retro (Pic 3 left).
