Gotcha: LG Chocolate Hunt Marketing Campaign

LG launched a world-wide hunt for 5 of its Chocolate phones on the FT, WSJ, SCMP and even The Standard, waving about an enormous cash prize of US$10,000 and referencing details to its website. Got my alpha male bosses gossiping about a phone named after a dessert, got me thinking of the FBI/ conspiracy theory. Smart guys.

Cheap As Chips: The New Blackberry 8520

So Research In Motion launched the new Blackberry 8520 (I call it, Curve 3.0) for the budget conscious. They tricked me, making me fall for the Curve2.0 thinking its a cheaper alternative to the Bold and an upgrade from the Curve1.0. Damn Marketers.
The Curve 3.0 looks identical to 2.0 yet its smaller and lighter, but you're sacrificing for less battery life and a shittier camera. I suppose you win some and you loose some for the money you're shelling out. The WSJ comparison table (below) emphasizes that this is the "first blackberry that uses a trackpad" and not a trackball. Woop Dee Doo. Not sure if that remotely adds value to my life. Let's see when it comes out in Asia.
